An Alabama man who authorities say knew a family "for quite some time" is now charged with eight counts of capital murder in their horrifying deaths. Mobile County Sheriff Paul Burch says 54-year-old William Graham Oliver was arrested Tuesday in connection with the killings of 46-year-old Lisa Gail Fields; her 17-year-old daughter, Keziah Arionna Luker, who was seven or eight months pregnant; and Keziah's 12-year-old brother, Thomas Cordelle Jr., Fox News reports. All three were found in separate rooms of their Wilmer home on April 20 with their hands bound.
Authorities say Fields was stabbed to death, Thomas was nearly decapitated, and Keziah was shot. Keziah's unborn child also died, while her 18-month-old child was left unharmed. Burch describes a "brutal" scene, with the home appearing ransacked. He says "very solid circumstantial evidence" puts Oliver inside the house on the night of April 19 and that he was "looking for something." He adds investigators believe they know his motive but are not yet releasing it. Authorities earlier suggested more than one person may have been involved, but "at this point we believe he's solely responsible," Burch says, per AL.com. Jail records show Oliver has prior arrests dating back to 1990.
