If you've got a quarter-million dollars to spare each month, you can now lease a mansion tied to one of Los Angeles' darkest chapters. The 21,000-square-foot Beverly Hills estate of Full House creator Jeff Franklin—built on the site where Sharon Tate and four others were killed by members of Charles Manson's cult in 1969—is now available to rent for $247,500 a month after failing to sell, reports KTLA. The original house where the murders occurred was torn down in the late 1990s, replaced by the nine-bedroom, 18-bathroom home on 3.6 acres. See photos at Realtor.com.
Franklin, who bought the site for $6 million about two decades ago and hired architect Richard Landry to design the current mansion, previously tried to unload it for as much as $85 million, later cutting the price to $50 million. He has described the Manson connection as "irrelevant" and "ancient history."
