This Is the Most Patriotic State in America

Americans in every state will be shooting off fireworks on the Fourth, but a new analysis suggests some states may be feeling more patriotic than others, per the Democrat & Chronicle. Personal finance site WalletHub compared all 50 states using more than a dozen metrics in two main categories—military engagement and civic engagement—to find out which state exhibits the highest level of patriotism. Virginia topped the list, while Arkansas came in last. WalletHub analyst Chip Lupo says the most patriotic states tend to have strong military participation, high voter turnout, and robust volunteerism. Here, the 10 most and least patriotic states:
