Five members of a family were killed when floodwaters suddenly swept through a recreation area in the canyons of southern Utah. Authorities said it happened at a campground in a scenic red rock canyon just outside Bicknell, where a Provo firefighter, his wife, and their sons had gone for hiking and canyoneering, KUTV reports. Deputies responded after a young male was found in a nearby wash Friday evening and quickly connected him to a missing group. Search and rescue teams soon located two adult men in the same wash; a wider search Saturday led to the discovery of two additional victims. A family friend has set up a GoFundMe page to help the couple's daughter, who was not on the trip, per the AP.
