6 Recalled Items to Check Your House for

A fresh round of federal recalls is hitting everything from household staples to safety gear, and the concerns behind them are serious, reports AL.com. Separate alerts from the Consumer Product Safety Commission and the FDA cite problems including products that can grant unintended access to firearms, glass that can explode mid-use, and contamination capable of causing severe infections in vulnerable people. The recalls span major retailers and platforms—including Amazon, Target, Walmart, and Lowe's—and involve items used in daily routines: cooking, cleaning, childcare, and personal care. Regulators are urging consumers to check recall notices carefully, verify model numbers and lot codes, and follow instructions for refunds, repairs, or safe disposal to avoid injury or illness. Affected items to watch for:

• Biometric gun safes: Sold exclusively on Amazon, BBRKIN has recalled 9,100 of its MouTec safes over fingerprint locks that could be accessed by people other than authorized users, including children. Look for model number QHXP029B, which sold from March 2020 until February 2024. BBRKIN is offering free repair kits.
• Cuisinart gas grills: Sold at Lowes and Walmart, the Propel+ Four Burner 3-in-1 Gas Grill was found to be a risk for lacerations after at least 37 reports that glass in a built-in pizza oven shattered. Look for model number CGG-6331, sold at Walmart, Lowe's, and Cuisinart.com from December 2024 through May 2026. A refund is available here.
• Cuisinart grill brushes: More bad news for Cuisinart with 1.7 million wire grill brushes recalled after 54 reports of bristles detaching from the brush and ending up in food. Look for model numbers CCB-100 and CCB-4125, which sold at Burlington, TJ Maxx, Ross, Amazon, and Cuisinart.com from 2009 through March 2026. Customers can get a refund or store credit by calling 888-520-1304.

• Baby wipes: Target's Up & Up Fragrance Free and Fresh Cucumber Scented wipes have been found to contain Burkholderia cepacia complex and Burkholderia gladioli, which can cause sepsis.The wipes were manufactured between November 2025 and May 2026. Returns can be made at any Target for a refund or call 1-800-440-0680.
• Eye drops: Lupin Pharmaceuticals pulled 2.5 million bottles of its prescription prednisolone acetate 1% eye drops after foreign material was found. The recall is an FDA Class II, which means temporary or reversible health effects are possible. Look for expiration dates between July 2026 and March 2028. More here.
• Oribe Serene Scalp Densifying Shampoo: Bacterial contamination, specifically Pluralibacter gergoviae, a bacteria resistant to common preservatives, is the problem here. Bottles were manufactured between Feb. 21 and Feb. 26. Call 800-333-2442.
