Truth Social's leader is doubling down on his support for users gaining early access to some of the platform's posts, for a steep fee. Kevin McGurn, interim CEO of Trump Media, appeared on CNBC's Squawk Box on Monday and insisted that the client list for the so-called Truth API feed has inched up to the "mid-teens" in number, "and climbing," per CNBC. "We have incredible data, we have incredible information—it was in high demand," McGurn noted. "This was demand that came to us, from the market. So we wanted to make sure that we satisfied that demand in the most brightly lit way." Meanwhile, the lawsuits over Truth API are already starting up.

A small number of Wall Street traders are now paying handsomely to see Truth Social posts a little sooner. In a Monday earnings call, Trump Media says more than 10 clients—mostly "high-frequency trading firms," per the BBC—have signed up for its new Truth API, which launched at the start of August. The data feed delivers earlier access to posts from high-impact accounts on the platform, where President Trump often makes market-sensitive statements. The service costs between $60,000 and $100,000 a month.

Kevin McGurn, the interim CEO of Trump Media, called it a potential "meaningful" revenue source as the company posted a $238 million quarterly loss. The Wall Street Journal reports McGurn added that "active" conversations with other potential customers—AI hyperscalers among them—are underway. "Today, we're in the early innings," he said.
