Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu took a rare secret trip to the United Arab Emirates over the weekend to ask its leader to deny reports he'd warned the Israeli leader about a looming Hamas threat ahead of the Palestinian militant group's Oct. 7, 2023, attack on southern Israel. The hourlong meeting between Netanyahu and Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan took place on Sunday, the AP reports. Both countries confirmed that the meeting occurred, per CNN, which reported the two mostly talked about the Iran war. Netanyahu's office had previously denied the report that he'd been warned.
