Husband of Slain NJ Therapist Hasn't Been Seen for Weeks

A month after a New Jersey therapist was stabbed to death in her own home, community members are pondering the whereabouts of her seemingly missing husband. Brooke Hanlon, 35, was found fatally stabbed in the couple's Chester home on June 6 following a 911 call; the medical examiner ruled her death a homicide caused by multiple sharp-force injuries. Authorities have not said who called police or whether husband James "Conor" Hanlon or the couple's baby were inside the home at the time. They've mentioned no suspects or arrests in the following weeks, a period in which Hanlon has not been seen or heard from, per Fox News.

A neighbor says he and Hanlon, a 36-year-old who grew up in Boston, had been texting about a bear that rifled through Hanlon's trash around June 2. "That was the last I heard from him," the neighbor tells Fox, noting he reached out after seeing the police response but hasn't heard back. The home appears "untouched," per People. Brooke's sister, Paige Haggerty, has spoken publicly, saying the couple's child is now with family, but she says she's otherwise staying quiet to avoid jeopardizing the investigation. Meanwhile, the Morris County Sheriff's Office is offering a $1,000 reward for information related to the death or suspicious activity in the area of Pottersville Road on June 6, per WRNJ.
