Cops Would Like to Talk to 2 Guys Who Parachuted Off Space Needle

Visitors to Seattle's Space Needle usually take the elevator down, but as USA Today reports, police say two men chose parachutes instead. Investigators say the pair bought tickets on Friday evening, went to the observation deck, appeared to scout the area, then emerged from a restroom wearing helmets. Security footage shows them sprinting toward a north-facing glass barrier, vaulting over it, standing on a ledge, and flipping off the 605-foot tower with parachutes.

"The two guys burst out and they sprinted up to the window. I'm talking like 10 seconds, sprint all the way up to the top, climb over, run and do a backflip off. I mean, it was so crazy because everybody was scared at first when they ran out," Jacob Jarreau tells KING5. Their landing spot and condition are unknown, and they remain unidentified and at large. Police describe them as white men in their late 20s and say potential charges include trespassing. Video of the jump is circulating online.
