One State Beats the Rest When It Comes to Fair Food

Yelp has bestowed an unusual honor on Minnesota: It's apparently got the best fair food. The review site dug into thousands of write-ups to see which fairs draw the most raves for their eats, and the Minnesota State Fair ended up in the top spot—thanks to things like tubs of warm cookies, fried chicken in a waffle cone, and fried cheese curds. The Midwest grabbed four of the 10 slots: Think deep-fried everything, "on-a-stick" experiments (including spaghetti and meatballs), and over-the-top snacks that show up for only a few weeks each year, notes Food & Wine, which details some of the favorites.
