Three brothers convicted in a sprawling New York sex-trafficking case are turning to a familiar name in Trump-world as they eye clemency. Tal, Oren, and Alon Alexander have paid Alan Dershowitz hundreds of thousands of dollars since hiring him in March 2025, nearly a year before their trial, according to financial records reviewed by the New York Times. Dershowitz, who helped defend President Trump during his first impeachment trial and has advised him on pardons, told the Times he's working as a consultant on "legal, constitutional and sentencing issues," though a letter he wrote to the brothers' mother also cites work on "executive clemency and judicial reversal."
The Alexanders, once high-flying real estate brokers who handled Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump's 2021 purchase of a $24 million mansion in Florida, were convicted of sex trafficking and assaulting women and girls and face at least 15 years and up to life when sentenced Oct. 6. Dershowitz, whose past clients include Jeffrey Epstein and an alleged sex cult, says "the government's allegations" against the brothers were no reason to turn down the case. He claims he hasn't yet raised it with Trump, despite devoting more than 140 hours to the case. Earlier this summer, he told the Times that Trump and other White House figures had requested his opinion "about various legal issues."
