Elon Musk's first wife is offering her sharpest public look yet at life with the billionaire. In Alex Gibney's new four-hour documentary, Musk, Justine Musk (nee Wilson) says she "learned the term 'gaslighting' through my relationship with Elon," describing feeling routinely belittled, as if she were one of his employees, per People. She recalls him criticizing her as "lacking" and telling her during their wedding dance, "I am the alpha in this relationship."
HuffPost notes that, according to Justine, Elon also had a special label for the women he's had children with, calling them "breeders" who were "interchangeable." Justine disputes his past claim that he held their infant son Nevada as he died of SIDS, saying she was the one holding the baby, per People. She also alleges Musk cut off their transgender daughter Vivian's health insurance after she came out and has "never tried to repair things," though she says he asked her to tell Vivian, "I'll always love her."
The AP notes that Justine isn't the only woman from Elon's past with some eyebrow-raising things to say about him in the documentary: Ashley St. Clair, the mother of one of his 14 children, accuses Elon, via his X platform, of "causing deliberate division that could be catastrophic if it's not regulated or contained." St. Clair also partly backed up Justine's "breeders" claim, noting that Elon had once told her that he wanted a "legion of children before the civil war," per HuffPost. (Elon isn't thrilled with Gibney's film.)
