(AP Photo/Mike Stewart) Roller coasters at Six Flags are getting another layer of restraints after a deadly fall in Georgia this month. CEO John Reilly told customers in a letter on Friday that the company will add seat belts to the Goliath coaster at Six Flags Over Georgia and to similar rides nationwide, which now rely on clamshell lap bars, the Wall Street Journal reports. Goliath and eight other coasters at five parks remain shut while authorities investigate the death of 42-year-old Hassan Jihad Ibn Kariem, who is believed to have been thrown from his seat. Four other people were injured. The closed rides have the same manufacturer, the AP reports; Six Flags hasn't said when they'll reopen. The company said it's bringing in outside engineers to review safety procedures at all of its rides in all of its parks and will act on their recommendations. Six Flags had already been under scrutiny over its X2 coaster in California, which was permanently closed last month after lawsuits alleging serious brain injuries.
