Rory McIlroy Encounters Another Heckler

Rory McIlroy has previously complained about Americans heckling him, and he had another run-in on Sunday at the PGA Championship. Following a chip that came up short and rolled into a bunker on the 16th hole, one spectator let out a "U-S-A," reports ESPN. McIlroy turned, said, "Shut the f--- up," then signaled security and pointed out the fan with his club, appearing to call for their removal, per USA Today. Watch the moment here.

McIllroy, who hails from Northern Ireland and recently secured back-to-back Masters titles, finished the tournament at 4-under, tied for seventh. Yahoo Sports notes that his errant shot at No. 16 all but ensured he would not catch eventual winner Aaron Rai, which may have contributed to his short temper. The exchange on Sunday at the Aronimink Golf Club near Philadelphia was mild compared to the heckling he endured during last year's Ryder Cup. One US spectator even tossed a beer at his wife.
