Tamara Korpatsch's trip to the French Open third round came with a post-match chill, not a sportsmanlike handshake. After a three-set win over 32nd seed Wang Xinyu on Wednesday, the German skipped the usual gesture, saying she felt wrongly cast as a rule-bender over a disputed line call late in the first set, reports Reuters. Wang had walked around the net to inspect the ball mark on Korpatsch's side, earning a code violation for unsportsmanlike conduct and setting the tone for a tense finish on Court 7.

Korpatsch insisted the shot was out, noting the chair umpire checked the mark and TV replays with Hawk-Eye showed the ball just outside the line. She said Wang later suggested she wasn't fair, a claim Korpatsch rejected: "There are cameras on court and they can check everything… For me, it would be embarrassing to cheat like that."
