Soccer fans flocking to the US for the World Cup are getting a crash course in American condiments, and in airport security. The Transportation Security Administration used a cheeky Instagram post on Tuesday to remind travelers that jumbo bottles of ranch dressing are treated like any other liquid at checkpoints, reports USA Today. One slide ribbed a passenger whose carry-on apparently contained four bottles of ranch and a Taser. "Please avoid chugging your ranch outside security," another slide joked. "The airlines will check it for you." The message: If you've fallen for ranch while in the US, pack it smart to bring some home.
Bottles that are 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) or less can go in your carry-on, as long as they fit in a single quart-size resealable bag; anything larger has to be checked, no matter how much is left in the bottle. The agency says it's leaning into what it's calling "dip-lomacy" over the "king of condiments." Kraft, meanwhile, is taking advantage of the condiment chaos by offering a limited-time "TSA-compliant" ranch kit, complete with said quart-size bag, a bunch of packets of Kraft Ranch dressing, and a luggage tag in the shape of a bottle of dressing, per KTLA.
