Missouri deputies chasing a speeding driver early Saturday ended up watching him jump off a bridge instead, authorities say. Stone County Sheriff Doug Rader says 26-year-old Gavin Thor Lundgren allegedly fled a traffic stop in Kimberling City around 2am, leading officers onto a two-lane bridge over Table Rock Lake in the Missouri Ozarks, NBC News reports. Dashcam video shows the car still rolling as Lundgren exits, stumbles across the opposite lane, and dives headfirst over the railing. The drop was around 50 feet.

Deputies assisted by Southern Stone County firefighters found him alive and arrested him, the Kansas City Star reports. He allegedly headbutted two deputies during the arrest. "This was definitely a first and luckily he survived the fall," Rader said. "He resisted arrest and deputies suffered minor injuries taking him into custody." Lundgren is being held without bond and faces charges including resisting arrest, careless driving, third-degree assault, and interfering with an arrest.
