Aubrey Plaza Is Pregnant

Aubrey Plaza has a new role on the horizon: mom. A representative for the 41-year-old actor confirms she's expecting her first child with partner Chris Abbott, with the baby due this fall, People reports. A source tells the outlet the pregnancy "was a beautiful surprise after an emotional year" and that the couple "feel very blessed." E! Online notes that Plaza now has a new audience for her two children's books, The Legend of the Christmas Witch and The Return of the Christmas Witch.

Plaza and Abbott, 40, have worked together before, co-starring in the Off-Broadway revival of Danny and the Deep Blue Sea and the 2020 film Black Bear. Abbott is currently on Broadway in a revival of Arthur Miller's Death of a Salesman, alongside Nathan Lane and Laurie Metcalf. Plaza's husband, filmmaker Jeff Baena, died by suicide last year while the couple were separated.
