A reunion tour from one of the 2000s' biggest girl groups is getting sharply downsized. The Pussycat Dolls have scrapped nearly all of the North American dates on their upcoming comeback tour after reviewing sluggish ticket sales, the trio of Nicole Scherzinger, Ashley Roberts, and Kimberly Wyatt—missing three of the original six group members—said in a statement, calling it a "heartbreaking decision." Only one US appearance remains: a June 6 performance at WeHo Pride in Los Angeles, which they called a particularly meaningful stop given the group's longstanding LGBTQ+ fan base, per the BBC.
The cancelation comes after an interview in which Scherzinger struggled to explain why the other original group members weren't joining the tour, per Variety. Former member Jessica Sutta had claimed "none of us were called" and suggested her exclusion was owing to her support of the Trump administration. While more than 30 June-through-August arena shows across the US and Canada are off, the European and UK legs are still on, "with several shows already sold out," the trio said, adding they're focused on delivering a "true celebration" of their catalog, which includes the hit "Don't Cha." North American fans who purchased tickets through Ticketmaster or AXS will receive automatic refunds; those who used third-party sellers are advised to contact the original vendor.
