Howard Stern's on-air partner just shared news that fans have been waiting more than a decade to hear. Robin Quivers, 73, told listeners on Monday that her cancer is gone, 14 years after being diagnosed with endometrial cancer, reports the New York Daily News. Prompted by Stern to deliver "the best news ever" on their SiriusXM show, Quivers simply said, "I'm cancer-free," later adding of finding out she's in the clear: "I was like a person who's won the lottery and can't believe their eyes when they're seeing all the numbers."
USA Today notes that endometrial cancer is the most common type of gynecological cancer. Stern, who has co-hosted with Quivers for 45 years, praised her for rigorously following treatment and lifestyle changes, calling her recovery an "unbelievable miracle" and telling her, "I love you. And I am so happy for you." Quivers, a former nurse, previously revealed that surgeons removed a tumor the "size of a grapefruit" during a 12-hour operation in 2013, which kept her out of the studio for nearly a year and a half, per the Daily News. She has chronicled her nutrition and health overhaul in her book The Vegucation of Robin.
