Swift and Friends Bring Wordplay to Knicks Game

Taylor Swift didn't just show up courtside Wednesday for Game 4 of the NBA Finals in New York, she showed up in a pun. The singer watched the Knicks edge the Spurs 107-106 while wearing a blue T-shirt that read "Stevie Knicks," a mashup of Fleetwood Mac's Stevie Nicks and the home team, per Mandatory. Swift made clear that she's a Knicks fan at the game, and she's long been a Nicks fan, as well; the two once gave a memorable joint performance at the Grammys. Actress Mariska Hargitay, who was sitting with Swift at the game, wore a T-shirt with the same message, per People.

Musicians Alana and Este Haim joined in with their own riffs: "Knickelback" and "Knickole Kidman," all in matching blue with orange lettering. Swift finished the look with Knicks-color accessories and Toy Story-themed nail art, fresh off her Toy Story 5 premiere appearance, where she debuted an original song for the character Jessie and later called herself a lifelong "Toy Story kid" on Instagram. T-shirts re-creating her Game 5 look have hit the market, per USA Today. The Knicks won and are up 3-1 over San Antonio Spurs.
