Texas Gunman Dead After Killing One, Injuring Several

A gunman in Midland, Texas, killed one person and injured several others on Friday morning, reports NBC News. The shooter is dead after an hourslong standoff with police, per the AP. Authorities have not released information about the assailant or victims, or said how the shooter died. Nine victims were taken to Midland Memorial Hospital, authorities say, with four of them in surgery. In video posted from the scene, rapid gunfire can be heard.
