Iran's soccer squad will get a bit more breathing room before its next World Cup match on US soil. Homeland Security is revising its travel rules so the team can arrive in Seattle two days ahead of Friday's game against Egypt, instead of the roughly 24-hour window it had for its first two matches, reports NBC News. The team, however, will have to leave immediately afterward for its home base in Tijuana, Mexico, per Seattle's KING 5.
The shift follows Iran's plans to file a formal complaint with FIFA, arguing it has been treated differently than the tournament's other 47 teams, which can generally arrive earlier and remain after games to recover. Iran has had to fly in and out of the US on much tighter timelines.
