The Today show on Tuesday was among the outlets reporting that one of the notes sent to Nancy Guthrie's family after her disappearance in February informed them she was dead. What was noteworthy is that Savannah Guthrie, daughter of Nancy, was there on the set as the report aired. Afterward, she told the audience she would not comment on the report itself because she is not involved with NBC's coverage of her mother's disappearance, reports People.
- "But I can't pretend I'm not here," she said. "And so since I am, I wanted to just take the opportunity to ask people, really to beg people, to come forward. Somebody knows something." Watch the clip here.
The family is offering a $1 million reward and says tips can be anonymous. "We love our mom, and we'll never stop looking for her, ever," Guthrie said. Anyone with information is urged to contact the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI or the Pima County Sheriff's Office at 520-351-4900.
