The 46-year-old actress revealed on Instagram that she recently underwent transplant surgery after months of searching for a donor, reports People. Phillips credits her "wonderful" brother, who "donated in the kidney exchange! He saved a life, and the life he saved had a special person donate for them." The voucher program then found her a match, which Phillips reports is "so close it's like I got the kidney from one of my parents!" She praised her surgeon for using a technique that avoided cutting muscle, meaning "I didn't even really need much pain medication at all, just Tylenol!" Phillips added, "I feel at five days out like I did four months after my last surgery!" Phillips, who was born with underdeveloped kidneys, previously received a transplant in 2017 but has since battled complications. In February, she revealed she was on dialysis and publicly pleaded for help finding a new kidney. Phillips is a single mother to an 11-year-old daughter she had with ex-husband Danny Masterson, who is serving a 30-year sentence after being convicted of rape.
