Joe Rogan says one of his guests went from studio chair to murder suspect in a matter of weeks. On Wednesday's episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, the host recounted his 2024 interview with Sheldon Johnson, a formerly incarcerated man who presented himself as a criminal justice advocate. About a month later, Johnson was arrested in New York City and charged with second-degree murder in the death of 44-year-old Collin Small, Fox News reports. Police say Small was shot, dismembered, and his remains scattered at multiple locations, including Johnson's Harlem apartment.

Rogan, who was discussing sociopaths with controversial physician Zach Bush told listeners Johnson allegedly killed a man he "had a beef with," then tried to flee with the body in a suitcase while wearing disguises. "We had a guy in the studio that cut a guy's head off after the podcast. He killed a guy and cut his head off," Rogan said. Johnson, who had been working with a Queens public defender's office, had told Rogan he was trying to turn his life around. He has been held without bail since his March 2024 arrest. Johnson was released from prison in 2023 after serving more than 20 years, the Guardian reports. He was jailed in 1999 for convictions including attempted murder and armed robbery.
