An alleged assault case in Arizona has taken a turn. Police in Buckeye say a man recruited another man to break into his fiancee's home and sexually assault her, reports 12NewsAZ. The incident took place on Oct. 16, with video showing Bella Torres fighting off a man in her driveway. Police identify the assailant as 20-year-old Adrian Ayala and say he entered the residence while Torres was there with her two young children. He allegedly forced her into a bathroom and groped her, before Torres was able to fight back and chase him off, per Mediaite.
When police later arrested Ayala, he said he thought he was taking part in a "role-play scenario" after communicating with a man he met online. Detectives say they uncovered messages indicating the assault was coordinated with Torres' fiancé, 23-year-old Zarian Dyer. Both men face felony charges in the case. "These individuals connected online and began communicating about a plot to assault this young woman," said Buckeye Police Public Information Officer Clarissa Planalp. Torres, meanwhile, tells 12NewsAZ that she is standing by Dyer and doesn't think he was involved.
