An actor who racked up credits on such shows as Virgin River and Arrow has been found dead in British Columbia, a week after he was reported missing. Stewart McLean, 45, was last seen at his home in the village of Lions Bay on May 15 and was reported missing three days later, reports Entertainment Weekly. His remains were discovered in the Lions Bay area, authorities said on Friday, per People. Investigators are treating the case as a homicide. The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team said Squamish Royal Canadian Mounted Police uncovered evidence indicating McLean was killed, with IHIT taking over the case on Wednesday.

Cpl. Esther Tupper said officers are poring over surveillance video, carrying out interviews, and piecing together McLean's movements before May 15, adding that they're "pursuing all available leads" to get answers for his loved ones, per EW. The CBC reports that it was McLean's roommate who reported him missing. McLean's talent agency paid tribute to him on Facebook as "dedicated, professional, eager, and endlessly funny," calling him "a truly great guy." Anyone with info on the case is asked to contact IHIT at 1-877-551-IHIT (4448) or via email at ihitinfo@rcmp-grc.gc.ca.
