Wes Anderson's latest scene involved real-life firefighters instead of a carefully framed set. The film director and actor Luke Wilson were among at least six people who had to be rescued on Monday night after an elevator stalled at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles, reports TMZ. Video posted by production specialist Carolyn Dunn shows Anderson, Wilson, and director James L. Brooks being helped out by members of the Los Angeles Fire Department, in what the AV Club calls a decidedly "undramatic" rescue.

When Anderson asked what went wrong, a firefighter replied that the lift was likely overloaded. The LAFD says the group was stuck in "elevator C"—what The Hollywood Reporter calls "a secret passageway/elevator" for celebs, citing Save Your Cinema—for under an hour after a call just before 8pm. The three had just wrapped a sold-out 30th-anniversary screening and Q&A for Anderson's first feature, Bottle Rocket, which Wilson co-starred in, when their ride to the parking lot went sideways.
