One of Dolly Parton's sisters is downplaying the idea of a family rift after the singer's death. "There is no feud within our family," wrote Freida Parton, Dolly's younger sister, on Instagram. "No one among the Parton/Owens family is fighting over Dolly's estate." Her statement comes amid controversy swirling around the sisters' nephew Bryan Seaver, notes USA Today. He's been accused of a "campaign of threats, harassment and intimidation" by Danny Nozell, Dolly's longtime manager who runs She's Alive, the singer's estate entity.
Seaver, a former military contractor who runs a Nashville security firm, told TMZ he was blindsided by the accusations and the request by She's Alive for a restraining order. "I was talking frankly in a private way with Danny who I thought was my friend, and he fancies himself a gangster," he said, in reference to seemingly threatening texts that have emerged. "A lot of these messages are two guys having rage talk and crying on the phone together while we were grieving." In her social media post, Freida Parton wrote that "we all love Bryan, just as we love each other."
