The scene around a youth football game in Baltimore turned deadly Saturday night after an argument over a parking spot escalated into gunfire that killed a 12-year-old girl, police say. The shooting at Leon Day Park began when "two cowards pull guns on each other and the one fires multiple rounds downrange and hits the little girl, who most likely was down there by the field somewhere," said Baltimore Police Commissioner Richard Worley, who said the incident started over a "stupid parking spot." The girl, identified by family as Khloe, was struck near the field and later died at a hospital. Four adults, ranging in age from 23 to 35, were also wounded and are in stable condition, reports KATV.
"What happened out here today is one of the most disgusting things I've ever seen in my life," said Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott, per the AP. Community members and the girl's family plan a "Justice for Khloe" peace walk Monday evening, as homicide detectives continue their search for two male suspects.
