Madonna's heading back to the mirror ball. The singer on Wednesday announced that Confessions on a Dance Floor: Part II, a sequel to her 2005 club-focused album, will arrive July 3 via Warner Records. It's her first full-length release in seven years and a fresh collaboration with original producer DJ Stuart Price, Variety reports. She revealed the cover art on social media, showing her semi-covered by a purple veil, and teased new music ahead of the lead single, "One Step Away."
Madonna and Price framed the project in a statement as a kind of dance-floor creed, calling dancing, celebration, and physical expression "spiritual practices" and describing the club as a "ritualistic space" where sound and light can shift perception and community. The album follows her return to Warner Records, the label that first signed her in the early 1980s. There's been no word about whether Madonna plans a tour, per Rolling Stone. Her most recent one was the 2023/2024 Celebration Tour, which also marked her 40th anniversary as a pop star. It consisted of 81 concerts and grossed over $225 million.
