Chloe Fineman is closing the Saturday Night Live chapter of her career after seven seasons. The impressionist, who joined the cast in 2019 and quickly stood out for her takes on Jennifer Coolidge, Timothee Chalamet, Drew Barrymore, Britney Spears, and JoJo Siwa, announced her exit in an Instagram post, writing that it's "time for my next chapter" and calling the job "the greatest privilege of my life."
Variety notes Fineman is the first cast member confirmed out ahead of Season 52; the show typically locks in its lineup in early September. Fineman, who joined alongside Bowen Yang and briefly hired comic Shane Gillis, stressed that leaving is "really hard" but said SNL remains her "home" and that she won't be "too far away." The Daily Beast, meanwhile, calls Fineman's departure a "huge blow" to the longtime late-night program.
