Bobb'e J. Thompson, the former child actor who played scene-stealing roles on The Tracy Morgan Show, That's So Raven, and Role Models, is headed to federal prison. The 30-year-old was sentenced in Iowa to 30 months behind bars and two years of supervised release after pleading guilty to illegally possessing a firearm in April, court records show. Prosecutors say Thompson was pulled over in Cerro Gordo County in September 2025 while driving 104mph, more than 30mph over the speed limit, per the Los Angeles Times.

An officer reported seeing Thompson and a passenger switch seats before smelling marijuana and finding a loaded .40-caliber handgun with a 15-round magazine, allegedly stolen from a car in Kansas City, Mo. A judge ordered the 2.5-year term to run consecutive to any sentence that may result from pending criminal cases in Washington and Missouri, per USA Today. Thompson, who also had roles on 30 Rock, Tyler Perry's House of Payne, and on Nick Cannon's comedy game show Wild 'N Out, was previously convicted of battery and assault in 2020, and was convicted of possession of a firearm as a felon in 2022.
